- A 12-year-old Cob Pony mare presented with a lateral limbal mass.
- The mass involved the limbus, bulbar conjunctiva, and cornea.
Findings:
- Surgical excision of the limbal mass was performed.
- A pedicle bulbar conjunctival graft was utilized to repair the corneal defect.
- Histopathology revealed an inflammatory mass with mononuclear cells.
Implications:
- Successful surgical management of equine limbal masses is achievable.
- Conjunctival grafting is an effective technique for corneal defect repair.
- Long-term follow-up confirmed no recurrence or complications.
