To propose a framework for effectively managing conflict to improve cross-unit collaboration.
To offer actionable strategies for integrating conflict resolution into daily decision-making.

Analysis of common organizational collaboration initiatives and their limitations.
Identification of conflict as the primary barrier to effective collaboration.
Development of six strategies for conflict management, categorized into direct conflict resolution and escalation management.

Main Results:

Effective collaboration requires addressing conflict directly, not just its symptoms.
Six strategies are proposed: common conflict resolution methods, trade-off criteria, conflict escalation for coaching, joint escalation, direct manager resolution, and transparent escalation processes.
