Abstract:
Osteoclastic bone resorption plays a central role in the joint destruction of rheumatoid arthritis patients. Several bone resorptive cytokines are implied to contribute to the mechanism through induction of RANKL/ODF in synovial cells and/or activated T cells. The target of the RA therapy should be focused on this destructive aspect in relation to the original RA pathophysiology.
