Background:

Evaluating clinical nurse task performance is crucial for quality patient care.
Existing instruments may lack comprehensive psychometric validation.
A need exists for a reliable and valid tool for assessing nursing performance.

Purpose of the Study:

To develop and validate a new instrument for evaluating clinical nurse task performance.
To assess the reliability and validity of the developed scale.

Main Methods:

Literature review identified a conceptual framework with 4 factors.
78 items were initially developed on a five-point Likert scale.
Factor analysis reduced the items to 35, with factor loadings > 0.50. SPSS 11.0 was used for analysis.

Main Results:

Factor analysis confirmed 4 factors, explaining 67.54% of the variance.
The instrument demonstrated high reliability, with Cronbach's coefficient > 0.9176.
All 35 items exhibited factor loadings over 0.50, confirming construct validity.

Conclusions:

The developed instrument is a reliable and valid tool for clinical nurse task performance evaluation.
This scale can contribute to objective assessment and improvement of nursing practice.
