Summary

Classic Kaposi's sarcoma, a rare cancer, was diagnosed in a 60-year-old Mediterranean male. Human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) was detected, but HIV was negative, indicating the classic form of the disease.

Background:

Findings:

  • The patient had negative serology for HIV.
  • Further investigations ruled out disseminated disease.
