Six weeks of endurance training partially mitigates bed rest effects on core body temperature during exercise. However, short-term bed rest still impacts thermoregulation, suggesting altered skin blood flow.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To determine if 3 days of HDBR affects body temperature and sweating during exercise.
  • To investigate if endurance training before HDBR modifies these responses.

  • Twelve healthy men underwent 6 weeks of endurance training.
  • Subjects performed seated cycle exercise at 60% VO2max before and after HDBR.
