Summary

Chronic ethanol consumption significantly impairs immune function by reducing complement CH50 levels in rats. The Flinders Sensitive Line (FSL) showed greater susceptibility to this alcohol-induced immunosuppression compared to the Flinders Resistant Line (FRL).
