Summary

Reduced testosterone in older men lowers platelet thromboxane A2 (TXA2) receptors and aggregation response. This suggests endogenous testosterone regulates platelet function and may impact cardiovascular risk.

  • To investigate how reduced circulating testosterone levels affect platelet TXA2 receptor expression in elderly men.
