Infective endocarditis in Europe: lessons from the Euro heart survey.

Active infective endocarditis (IE) patients in Europe have high-risk profiles and often require surgery. However, deficiencies in blood cultures and prophylaxis contribute to high mortality, necessitating improved patient management and guideline implementation.
