Abstract:
Di- and trisulfide linked oligopyrrolic macrocycles are obtained when appropriate alpha,alpha'-free pyrrolic precursors are reacted with sulfur dichloride; these systems represent the first examples of what might be a general new class of porphyrin analogues.
