Objective:
To study applied anatomy of adult mandibular ramus and condyle.
Methods:
Observation and measurement were made on 16 adult mandibular rami and condyles.
Results:
Thickness became gradually greater within 15 mm from the back edge of ramus. Some adult mandibular rami had no spongy bone at the level of 10 mm above mandibular foramen.
Conclusions:
These date are very important for application of lag screw osteosynthesis in condylar fracture.
