Effect of intensive glycemic control on levels of markers of inflammation in type 1 diabetes mellitus in the diabetes

Intensive therapy for type 1 diabetes affects inflammation markers differently. While it reduces some markers, it increases others, particularly high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) in those gaining weight, influencing atherosclerosis risk.
