Overlapping syndrome (OS) combines systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis, and polymyositis/dermatomyositis, often confused with mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD). Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is distinct but can rarely co-occur with other CTDs.
