Abstract:
In this paper the author reviews the present situation of the family from the point of view of the professional social intervention. The author tries to identify the changes that are occurring in the framework, the organization and the functions of the family and to find out how these changes are affecting the members of the family and theirs relations to the institutions. These changes affect the organization of the diary life and the achievement of the basic needs, particularly of the members that because of their age and health problems are more dependent and vulnerable.
