  • Lesions were localized to the nasolabial folds, upper lip, and nose.

Findings:

  • Microscopic examination revealed septate, ectothrix hyphae.
  • Fungal culture identified Trichophyton mentagrophytes.

Implications:

  • Tinea faciei should be considered in facial eruptions.
  • Mycologic examination is crucial for accurate diagnosis.
