Summary

Ketoprofen alone provided better pain relief than propacetamol after thyroid surgery. Combining propacetamol with ketoprofen did not enhance pain management compared to ketoprofen alone in the immediate postoperative period.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare the efficacy of propacetamol and ketoprofen, alone or in combination, for pain relief after thyroid surgery.
  • To evaluate analgesia in patients receiving remifentanil anesthesia.

Main Methods:

  • A randomized study involving 97 patients undergoing thyroid surgery.
  • Three groups received intravenous propacetamol 2g, ketoprofen 100mg, or a combination.
  • Pain intensity and tramadol consumption were recorded post-surgery.
