Abstract:
Travelers and clinicians should be able to understand how malaria is transmitted, identify key risk factors associated with malaria, know how to prevent malaria, and recognize the symptoms associated with malaria. It is essential to provide accurate information about malaria, prevention, and treatment. All travelers should understand the importance of seeking immediate medical attention whenever they become ill. Development and implementation of a "train the trainer" program can help minimize the impact of malaria while providing accurate and up to date information.
