Summary

Dexmedetomidine, an alpha2-adrenergic agonist, provides cooperative sedation, anxiolysis, and analgesia without respiratory depression. Its neuroprotective and hemodynamic stabilizing effects are valuable in neuroanesthesia and neurocritical care.
