Community-based child and family services--many questions remain

In a description of baseline characteristics of experimental and control families that are to be part of an evidence-based intervention study, Sundelin et al. found, contrary to expectations, a negative association between high socio-economic status (SES) and child outcomes.

Allowing for possible study limitations, the results of Sundelin et al. further the argument that community-based services should be provided universally to all children and families, rather than attempting to target services on the basis of SES.
