Radiation exposure and the urologist: what are the risks?

Medical personnel face radiation exposure during fluoroscopic procedures in urology. Scatter radiation levels, particularly for surgeons during percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL), remain well below annual dose limits, but awareness and minimization are key.
