Area of Science:

  • Healthcare Management
  • Information Systems
  • Fuzzy Logic Systems

Background:

  • Evaluating service contract provider quality is crucial for operational efficiency in healthcare.
  • Traditional methods may not adequately capture the nuances of service quality.
  • Application Service Providers (ASPs) offer a platform for systematic evaluation.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To develop and implement a fuzzy inference system for evaluating service contract provider quality.
  • To identify key indicators for assessing service quality through surveys.
  • To reduce the service cost-acquisition cost ratio in hospitals.

Main Methods:

  • A fuzzy inference system was designed and deployed online.
  • Surveys were conducted to determine the most effective quality indicators.

Related Experiment Videos

  • The system was implemented across 10 hospitals.
  • Main Results:

    • The fuzzy inference system successfully evaluated service provider performance.
    • Key indicators for service quality were identified.
    • The service cost-acquisition cost ratio decreased substantially from 16.14% to 6.09%.

    Conclusions:

    • Fuzzy inference systems provide an effective framework for quality performance evaluation of service contract providers.
    • The implemented system led to significant cost reductions in healthcare settings.
    • This approach demonstrates the practical application of fuzzy logic in improving hospital operational efficiency.
