Summary

Paraneoplastic syndromes are rare with mesodermal tumors. This case highlights an unusual presentation of fever, anemia, thrombocytosis, coagulopathy, and cholestatic liver dysfunction linked to soft tissue sarcoma.

  • A patient presented with fever, anemia, thrombocytosis, coagulopathy, and idiopathic cholestatic liver dysfunction.
  • These symptoms occurred in association with a soft tissue sarcoma.

Findings:

  • The clinical presentation suggested a paraneoplastic syndrome.
  • This diagnosis was made after excluding anatomic obstruction, infection, and direct hepatic involvement by the neoplasm.

Implications:
