Investigating Toll-like Receptor 9 (TLR-9) gene polymorphisms in atherosclerosis, this study found no association between common TLR-9 promoter variations and the development of atherosclerosis or restenosis. These specific TLR-9 polymorphisms do not appear to play a role in these cardiovascular conditions.
