Summary
CC chemokine receptor 4 (CCR4) expression and function in T helper 2 (Th2) cells are induced by interleukin-4 (IL-4) and signal transducer and activator of transcription 6 (STAT6) signaling. CCR4 functionality emerges later in Th2 differentiation, independent of surface expression levels.
