Human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) can generate hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) in vitro, offering a potential alternative to traditional cell sources. These hESC-derived HSCs show promise for cell-based therapies.

Background:

  • Hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transplantation is a common therapy, but donor availability is limited by compatibility and quantity.
