This case report details Candida albicans endophthalmitis after corneal transplant using warm preservation. Early diagnosis and graft removal led to unexpectedly good visual outcomes.

  • Routine culturing of corneal graft transportation media can enable early diagnosis of fungal endophthalmitis.
  • Prompt surgical intervention, including graft removal, may improve outcomes in cases of postkeratoplasty candidal endophthalmitis, even after warm preservation.
