Percutaneous kyphoplasty effectively treats vertebral compression fractures by restoring height and relieving pain. This minimally invasive procedure, using polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and balloon catheters, demonstrated significant pain reduction in patients with osteoporosis or myeloma.
