Summary

The disorganization dimension of schizotypal personality disorder (SPD) is shared between relatives of schizophrenia and psychotic bipolar disorder patients, indicating a common genetic basis for these conditions. The negative dimension of SPD is familial but does not increase the risk for these disorders.
