Abstract:
Important members of our clinical and scientific community are defecting to the private sector as frustration with academic medical centers grows intolerable. Departments need to rethink traditional paradigms for assigning research, teaching, and clinical care duties to allow faculty the time to do these activities with the care and attention they deserve.
