Multiple gestation: the role of multifetal pregnancy reduction and selective termination

With the increased use of fertility agents and the transfer of multiple embryos, multifetal gestations have increased in number. As the number of fetuses increases, the probability of premature birth and delivery does. The role of multifetal pregnancy reduction and selective termination is reviewed.
