Abstract:
The complications of scoliosis in 100 cases were treated surgically in the past 8 years. The early complications were pulmonary complications (3 cases), syndrome of supra-mesenteric artery (2), and wound infection (3). Late complications were unhooked Harrington instrumentality (10) cases), fracture of Harrington rods (9), protrusion of upper end of Luque rods (7), breakage of tethering wire (4) and pseudarthrosis (3). there was no operative mortality or paraplegia after operation.
