Summary

Myeloid sarcoma, a rare extramedullary tumor of immature myeloid cells, can uncommonly present as an isolated testicular mass. This study reports on testicular myeloid sarcoma, highlighting its rarity as an isolated finding.

Background:

  • Myeloid sarcoma is a malignant neoplasm involving extramedullary sites, composed of immature granulocytes, monocytes, or both.

Observation:

  • This report details four cases of myeloid sarcoma involving the testis.
  • Two of these cases presented as isolated testicular neoplasms, one unilateral and one bilateral.
  • Histological examination revealed poorly differentiated and blastic morphology, confirmed as myeloid lineage via immunohistochemistry.
