Naive CD4+ cells from cord blood can generate competent Th effector cells

Umbilical cord blood (UCB) T cells are as effective as adult cells in generating Th effector cells. UCB cells show higher IL-10 production, but this is balanced by increased IL-2 and CD25 expression, ensuring robust immune responses.
