Impulsivity and compulsivity frequently coexist in women with bulimia nervosa (BN). These traits are linked to distinct patterns of personality, substance use, eating pathology, and depression in BN patients.

  • Bulimia nervosa (BN) is an eating disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of binge eating and compensatory behaviors.
  • Impulsivity and compulsivity are distinct behavioral constructs that may be relevant to the psychopathology of BN.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the relationship between impulsivity and compulsivity in patients diagnosed with bulimia nervosa (BN).
  • To explore the association between impulsivity, compulsivity, and related psychiatric comorbidities in women with BN.
