Chiari malformation: CSF flow dynamics in the craniocervical junction and syrinx

Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow is reduced in Chiari malformation (ChM). Craniocervical junction decompression (CCJD) improves CSF flow, and absent intrasyrigeal pulsatile motion predicts patient improvement.
