[Cytological method of diagnosis of breakthrough bleeding]

The studies have been carried out by means of analysis of cytological diagnoses made during the assessment of uterobrush preparations of the endometrium. Cytological material has been sampled in the case of pathological bleeding of low intensity. Glandular hyperplasia occurred in 18% of cases, cancer in about 1%, inflammatory process in 11%. The comparison of received data with the results of histological examinations of scrapings from the uterine cavity does not show any significant differences. The authors think that the cytological method of diagnosing a pathological state of endometrium is credible.
