Gastrointestinal bleeding is a serious complication in hematologic malignancies, particularly in acute leukemia and myeloproliferative disorders. Myeloproliferative disorders often present with upper GI bleeding, while acute leukemia patients experience lower GI bleeding due to neutropenic enterocolitis.
