Background:

Liposuction is a common cosmetic procedure.
Fat embolism syndrome (FES) is a rare but serious complication.
Understanding FES is crucial for patient safety in aesthetic surgery.

Observation:

A 24-year-old woman developed progressive dyspnea and respiratory distress post-buttock liposuction.
Clinical presentation included thoracic oppression, tachycardia, and anguish.
Imaging revealed pulmonary fat emboli.

Findings:

Fat emboli were diagnosed via chest X-ray and CT scan.
The patient received symptomatic treatment.
Complete recovery was achieved with conservative management.
