Summary

Periorbital contact eczema is usually allergic contact dermatitis, diagnosed by patch testing. Current corticosteroid treatments are short-term, but modern options offer better therapeutic outcomes.

Periorbital eczema is most often allergic contact dermatitis.
Other conditions like atopic eczema, seborrheic eczema, autoimmune disorders, and rosacea are less common causes.
