Abstract:
The authors consider sleep of healthy adults in terms of the theory of the integrated individuality and assume that the basic parameters of sleep architecture vary depending on gender, somatotype and psychophisiological features. Recent literature concerned with individual differences in sleep organization is reviewed, and the possible mechanisms of the distinctions are justified.
