Summary

Hypothyroidism is linked to poorer kidney function, indicated by higher urinary albumin excretion and lower creatinine clearance. Thyroid autoimmunity did not significantly impact renal function in hypothyroid patients.

    • Regular monitoring of renal function is recommended for patients with thyroid diseases, particularly hypothyroidism.
