The antidepressant effect of carbamazepine in callosal agenesis: a case report

Abstract:
A dramatic resolution of severe depressive symptoms following carbamazepine administration in a patient with callosal agenesis is reported. Maintenance treatment with carbamazepine resulted in the alleviation of concomitant organic symptoms and in a marked improvement in quality of vital functions.
