Summary

Inconspicuous penis anomalies require accurate diagnosis to prevent severe consequences. Repeated circumcisions are not a solution for penile keloid formation, with surgical correction offering a better outcome.

Background:

Inconspicuous penis encompasses various congenital anomalies in newborn males, potentially leading to severe complications if misdiagnosed.
Penile keloid formation is a rare complication, even with the global prevalence of circumcision.

Observation:

A 13-year-old boy presented with a buried glans penis, difficulty urinating, and penile keloid formation.
The patient had undergone two prior circumcisions without resolution of his condition.

Findings:

Surgical correction combined with intralesional steroid injection was performed for the buried penis and keloid.
The combined treatment approach resulted in a satisfactory outcome for the patient.

Implications:

This case highlights that repeated circumcisions may exacerbate penile keloid formation and are not an effective treatment.
