The interleukin-10 (IL-10) receptor complex is preassembled, unlike the interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) receptor. This IL-10 receptor shows no major structural changes upon IL-10 binding, suggesting preassembly is common for Class 2 cytokine receptors.
