IL-15 regulates CD8+ T cell contraction during primary infection

Interleukin-15 (IL-15) is crucial for preventing effector CD8+ T cell apoptosis during infection contraction. This cytokine promotes effector T cell survival by upregulating anti-apoptotic molecules like Bcl-2.
