[Manual facial reconstruction in forensic medicine]
Abstract:
The forensic facial reconstruction is a technique, often used on skeletal remains, when other conventional techniques of identification can't be used. The technique consists of rebuilding the soft tissue on the skull in order to obtain an image of the victim for the purpose of triggering identification. This is accomplished by anatomically rebuilding the muscles and soft tissue on the skull and/or use tissue depth markers on specific spots on the skull.
