Abstract:
Retropharyngeal abscesses in children are unusual and the involvement of the mediastinum is exceptional since the era of the antibiotics. It can be explained by the anatomic continuity between the retropharyngeal space and the retrooesophageal space. We report a case where the CT Scanner allows a complete evaluation of the disease in the mediastinum and a good follow-up.
