Abstract:
Copper(I) complexes of the type [CuX(PPh3)n(L)n]n {where X = Cl-, Br- I-, NO3, SCN-; PPh3 = triphenylphosphine and L = 4-ethylpyridine} have been prepared and characterized on the basis of their molecular weight, magnetic susceptibility, conductance, infrared studies and elemental analysis. Ethylpyridine behaved as monodentate ligand. The variation in stoichiometry and the probable structures of these complexes have been discussed.
