Tumour detection in the liver: role of multidetector-row CT

Abstract:
The purpose of this article is to emphasize the role of multidetector row CT in the tumour detection of the liver. Optimization of the examination is crucial; scan parameters, CT protocols and intravenous contrast medium will be detailed. Lastly, accuracy of CT in detecting liver tumours will be discussed according to the causes.
