- Decreased lung function is associated with poorer cognitive function and increased subcortical atrophy in mid-adulthood.
- Chronic respiratory disease may be linked to white matter changes in men.
- No mediating effects of structural measures, inflammation, oxidative stress, or cortisol were found.
